The Elmwood Neighborhood Association celebrates the Fourth of July from 6-9 p.m. with a cookout, face painting, music and a screening of “Born on the Fourth of July,” which filmed in the neighborhood.

Ice House performs at the Dallas Zoo’s Safari Nights at 7 p.m. Saturday.

Kids in the Cliff storytelling starts at 11 a.m. Sunday at the Wild Detectives with “Pie is for Sharing.”

The Texas Theater shows “Stand and Deliver” at 3 p.m. Sunday.
