Woman arrested after telling kids they “are going to die together”

An Oak Cliff woman is accused of offering her children alcohol and telling them they would die together.

Police found Isadora Ventura, 28, sleeping in her home on Marsalis Avenue. Her kids, a 10-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy, told police their mother was upset about their father, and she asked them to drink with her. When they refused, she told the older child to go get a knife and said they were “all going to die together.”

Ventura is accused of pushing and scratching the younger child.

She was charged with felony injury to a child, and her bail was set at $10,000. She was charged in April of driving while intoxicated.
