The Dallas Symphony Orchestra is collecting new and gently used instruments for its residency in southern Dallas, and Top Ten Records is a drop-off location.

The residency, announced in November, will provide instruments and instruction to children in neighborhood schools and after-school programs. It will “help ensure that every child in the area who wants to play an instrument has access to instruction and an instrument free of charge.”

The southern Dallas residency also includes community concerts and collaboration with artists in the community.

Top Ten is accepting all types of instruments — strings, winds and percussion — and the donation is tax deductible.
