Thieves stole five cases of Girl Scout Cookies, valued at $250, from 8-year-old Sunny Smith, who was on her first sales venture in her neighborhood near Kimball High School last weekend.

While Sunny was speaking with a neighbor at the door of a home on Woodmere Drive, two people in a white Dodge Charger pulled up, took all of the cookies out of her wagon, which was parked at the curb, and drove away.

Sunny told Fox 4: “I feel mad inside and angry because they did wrong to their spirit.”

After her mom, Amy Smith, posted about the loss on Nextdoor, neighbors stepped in to help. Since then, they’ve raised $364, and the extra money will be used to send Girl Scout Cookies to U.S. troops serving overseas.
