Ceviche Oyster Bar opened on West Davis back in February, painted bright blue and looking like a quaint roadside beer joint.

The restaurant has the same owners as Mesa, but it’s far more casual and has counter service. Most of the seating is outdoors, but there are a few seats inside.

Prices range from $12 for six fried shrimp with fries and hush puppies to $11-$13 for ceviche. They also have grilled fish plates served with veggies and rice ($12-$15), and po’boys ($10-$15). We tried the ceviche mixto, and it wasn’t bad.

We also had the frozen margarita, which comes out fluffy and is delicious. The cocktail menu also includes a frozen cucumber margarita, “paloma mule” and ranch water.  Margaritas cost $8 and beer is $4-$6. At happy hour, until 7 p.m. Monday-Friday, margaritas are $6 and beer is $4.
