He came home in the middle of the night with a fractured skull and no memory of how it happened.

Oscar Rodriguez, known as Oz, is a personal trainer at an Oak Cliff gym and a karaoke host in Oak Lawn. He left work at the Round Up Saloon at about 2:15 a.m. on Sunday, April 14.

At about 4 a.m., his roommate took him to the hospital. A CT scan revealed hat he had a fractured skull and brain bleeding, and his jaw was broken in two places.

Rodriquez was missing his cell phone, but his car was untouched. He told WFAA that he remembers waking up in his car somewhere near Central Expressway, injured and missing his phone.

But he can’t remember who hurt him.

“The doctors at Parkland said whoever did this intended for him to not walk away from it,” friend and co-worker Nikki Meister told the TV station.

Friends set up a crowd-funding campaign to help pay Rodriguez’s medical expenses.
