Dallas police identified two suspects in the shooting death of former NBA player and Carter High School graduate Andre Emmett at his East Dallas home last month.
Police say 29-year-old Michael Lucky and 32-year-old Keith Johnson are responsible for the shooting.
Homicide detectives obtained capital murder warrants on Oct. 19 for Michael Lucky, 29, and Keith Johnson, 32.
Johnson, who was in jail on unrelated charges, also was charged with murder and held on $500,000 bond. Lucky remains at large.
Emmett died Sept. 23 outside his home in the 1800 block of North Prairie Avenue. He was sitting in his vehicle when two people approached. An individual pulled out a gun, and Emmett was shot as he tried to run away.
The basketball star played for Texas Tech before making the jump to the NBA, where he played for the Brooklyn Nets and Memphis Grizzlies. Most recently, he played in the Big 3 league.
