Texas Instruments awarded $10,000 each to seven Dallas ISD teachers for innovations in teaching science, technology, engineering and math.
Among them were several who teach in Oak Cliff and West Dallas:
Ernest Barlow, who teaches technology applications at the Dallas Environmental Sciences Academy in West Dallas,
Thuy Nguyen, who teaches science at Raul Quintanilla Middle School,
and Tiffany Thomas, who teaches math at Sarah Zumwalt Middle School.
The teachers get to keep $5,000 for their personal use, and $5,000 is to be spent on professional development.
