Celebrate African-Mexican culture at a music, dance and poetry showcase at the Meyerson Symphony Center Thursday, presented by Mercado369. Oaxacan singer and dancer Alejandra Robles joins Cara Mia Theatre and the Black Academy of Arts & Letters in “rarely performed ritualistic dances from black communities in the Mexican states of Oaxaca and Guerrero,” plus spoken word performances from local children and sculpture from the Costa Chica area of Guerrero.
