Oak Cliff’s own Skye Turner is starring as young Tina Turner in “Tina,” the Tina Turner musical on Broadway.
Did you see her in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade?
She also stars as young Aretha Franklin in the the biopic “Respect.” Filming wrapped in February, and it’s expected to be released in October.
The kid is a dynamo, and we’ll be hearing a lot more about her.
Turner (no relation to Tina) sang for local students at the UNT Dallas Multicultural Center as part of a Black History celebration last month.
