Run a five kilometers of your choosing in the next two weeks to participate in the 2021 Methodist Dallas Medical Center Dash for the Beads.
Tickets cost $40, which includes a T-shirt, a mask and a medal. And all proceeds go to neighborhood schools. The race has raised $360,000 since it began in 2010.
Runners can do any 3.1 miles, between now and Sunday, Feb. 14, or follow the race’s typical 5K route that courses through Kessler Park.
There’s also a 1-mile “people parade” through Winnetka Heights on Feb. 14 that includes a costume contest calling for the “wackiest” socially distant costume idea.
A $75 VIP package includes a coupon for a beer at a local restaurant and entry into a raffle for a hotel stay in Colorado.
