Jennifer Faith was arrested on a charge of obstruction of justice Wednesday, related to the shooting death of her husband Oct. 9.

The arrest comes several weeks after the 48-year-old’s ex-boyfriend was charged with murder in the death of James Faith, an American Airlines executive, while he and his wife were walking their dog just after 7 a.m.

At the time, Jennifer Faith told police that an unknown attacker drove up in a pickup truck, shot her husband to death and then tried to use duct tape on her hands, possibly in an attempted abduction. Video of the truck was caught on several neighbors’ doorbell cameras.

Investigators believe the ex-boyfriend, Darrin Lopez, drove from Tennessee to kill Faith. Text messages revealed that Jennifer Faith told a friend that she was having a “full-blown emotional affair” with Lopez. And in the weeks before her husband died, Jennifer Faith exchanged hundreds of texts a day with Lopez, the investigators say.

Following the death of her husband, which shook her South Winnetka neighborhood after a summer of increased violent crime in Dallas, Jennifer Faith went on TV to plea for help finding her husband’s killer.

“Oh my God! If you know what happened, I need that for closure,” she told KDFW.”I need to make so me sense of this.”

Records show that Jennifer Faith was being booked into the Dallas County jail Wednesday, and bail had not yet been set.
