A gardener who was riding a lawnmower in Winnetka Heights was killed Monday when a driver on Jefferson Boulevard crashed into him.
The car ran off the roadway after a crash with another vehicle on Jefferson Boulevard near Winnetka Avenue.
WFAA reports that the car also flipped and the driver was taken to the hospital. Neither the driver nor the victim have been identified. But the TV station reports that two gardeners, a father and son, had been mowing there.
Surrounding streets were blocked off for hours while police investigated.
