Oak Cliff is a footnote in this big news story of the day.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott tested positive for COVD-19 Tuesday, the same day he posted photos posing maskless with musician Jimmie Vaughan, an Oak Cliff native. It’s unclear when the pictures were taken.
Honor to meet with @JimmieVaughan—brother of Stevie Ray Vaughan and a legendary Texas musician in his own right.

The governor, who is vaccinated, has no symptoms and was diagnosed after routine daily testing.
Abbott, who has taken a powerful stance against requiring masks and vaccinations, appeared at a standing-room-only event in McKinney a day before he tested positive.
He is quarantined at the Governor’s Mansion in Austin and receiving monoclonal antibody therapy.
