Passport Oak Cliff, Oct. 23-24, invites ticket holders to attractions all over our neighborhood.

So far there are plans for concerts by local musicians, “historic porch tours,” with people in vintage costumes, as well as a tour of a “renowned alley garden” and Elmwood Farm.

Collect stamps in your passport at each stop, and more stamps means more chances to win prizes at after parties each day. The parties, from 4-6 p.m. include food, drinks and music.

Here’s how Heritage Oak Cliff pitches the event:

This event is presented by Heritage Oak Cliff, a membership of unique and wonderful neighborhoods, each a showcase of the great diversity of Dallas. Each year, this organization awards thousands of dollars in neighborhood grants in two categories – Community Building and Neighborhood Improvements – to help improve the Oak Cliff community.

Any HOC neighborhood member is eligible to apply for a grant. And these grants can be used for anything from a new park to new signage to sidewalk repairs to neighborhood patrols. The funds raised by Passport Oak Cliff will help more neighborhoods make more improvements in the coming year, making Oak Cliff a better, even more special place to live for all of us. Want to be a sponsor? Please check out our sponsorship information.

Tickets cost $20-$25 through Sept. 30, and prices increase on Oct. 1 and 23.
