One of those retailers is Oasis Plant Shop, which opened four years ago inside a remodeled cottage on W. Eighth. You know them by their fabulous front-porch flora. Vessels, directly across the street, is Oasis’ new “sister store,” manager Lillian Flint tells us. Oasis founders Hannah Street and Bethany Mieth opened Vessels about two months ago, and next Monday Vessels is hosting its inaugural ceramic workshop, led by Flint.

We have both bad and good news regarding that workshop. It is sold out, however Flint says there will be more.

“We haven’t picked out the dates yet but will soon,” she says.

Here’s what Vessels’ owners had to say when they opened, via Instagram:

“We are VESSELS.

As humans we have the capability to hold joy, love, peace, empathy; our souls are vessels. What we bring into our homes fills a space with the intention we give. The ceramics and thoughtful home decor offered at Vessels are a reflection of our journey. Our emphasis is on natural materials; clay, wood, minerals, and objects of nature. We created VESSELS to hold every moment of every day. Join us.”
