Stay indoors with OCCC’s ‘Beat the Heat’ swap meet on July 30

The Oak Cliff Cultural Center offers a way to get out of the house while staying inside on the last Saturday in July.

Beat the Heat Art Swap Meet, from noon-5 p.m. July 30, is a vendor market featuring visual artists from the Dallas area.

Free activities will be available from the Dallas Museum of Art, Perot Museum of Nature and Science and Dallas Center for Photography.

Vegan treats from Merienda Monster owner Mindamora Rocha will be available for purchase, as well as grab-and-go food from The Bodega Provisions. Sales of limited-edition canvas totes designed by local artist Brent Ozaeta will benefit Friends of the Oak Cliff Cultural Center.

Art for sale will include drawings, paintings and ceramics.
