Meow Wolf Grapevine selected an Oak Cliff artist for its permanent installation, one of several local artists collaborating on the immersive experience.

Ricardo Paniagua, who is from West Dallas and lives in East Kessler, will be part of Meow Wolf Grapevine when it opens next year.

The other headliners collaborating on the permanent installation: Mariell Guzman of Lakewood; Carmen Menza, who is represented by Cerulean Gallery in University Park; East Dallas resident Ryan Chen; West Dallas-based Dan Lam; Josh Dodson, who is represented by Ro2 gallery in the Cedars; and Riley Holloway, whose studio is in the Cedars.

The first Meow Wolf opened in Santa Fe in 2008, and there are now outposts in Las Vegas and Denver.

MOM of Oak Cliff and SM Sanz, whose murals most people on our side of the river would recognize, is also on the bill, along with musicians Black Taffy, Wanz Dover and Teddy Georgia Waggy of Oak Cliff, as well as Alex Bhore of East Dallas, who operates Elmwood Studios, and Cedars resident Mattie.
