Neighbors have been working with City Hall in an effort to find solutions that would slow traffic and prevent fatalities or serious injuries at the intersection of Colorado Boulevard at Sylvan/Tyler.

An accident on July 13 that killed a 25-year-old motorcyclist underscored the need for improvements.

Rumble strips, signage and pavement markings are among the short-term fixes that have been proposed.

The next community meeting is at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 29 at the Kidd Springs Recreation Center.

Neighbor Elmer Powell sent these photos of a recent crash in his front yard. No injuries were reported.
