Taste of Oak Cliff brings nearly 100 food vendors to our neighborhood this weekend.
Tickets to the Oak Cliff Chamber of Commerce’s two-day event cost $20 each day, or $35 for both days, Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 17-18. Food will be for sale from food trucks, trailers and booths.
But it’s not just about food.
Animal presentations from the Dallas Zoo, salsa dance demonstrations, a talent showcase with $1,000 prize, mammogram screenings and a kid zone are also on the menu. Live music — Don Diego Band on Saturday and Emerald City on Sunday — caps off each day.
The kids zone features the “Mind Winder” swing ride, a train ride, carousel, rock climbing and field games. Tickets for kids 12 and younger cost $13 a day or $20 for both days.
Taste of Oak Cliff is from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. at 221 W. 12th Street.
