Local artists who gallery owners think are the bees knees will show their work at Turner House this weekend.
The Oak Cliff Society of Fine Arts’ annual Rising Star exhibition showcases artists who are not currently represented by galleries but who gallerists want to promote.
It’s a chance to scoop up work from artists whose careers are expected to accelerate.
The fundraiser, which benefits upkeep and renovations to Turner House, has two events.
A reception is from 7-9 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17. Tickets cost $75 for members and $85 otherwise.
The public is invited the following day, from 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18, to view the artwork for free.
