Dallas City Council member for District 8 Tennell Atkins and students from Oak Cliff’s KIPP Destiny Elementary were there last week for a ribbon cutting ceremony.

“Chuck E. Cheese has a wonderful partnership with KIPP Destiny, as they were one of the first schools to have benefited from the playground project initiative,” reads a press release about the unveiling. The venue features a brand-new interactive dance floor, more games and musical shows every hour on the half hour.

Earlier this year, Chuck E. Cheese opened the first ever playground by Chuck E. Cheese and Carter’s Kids in Texas at Kipp Destiny Elementary.

Home improvement related reality TV celeb Carter Oosterhouse joined the Kipp kiddos for that one. Carter says on his website that he founded Carter’s Kids because he wanted young children to have a place in their neighborhoods where they can enjoy being outdoors.

KIPP Texas public schools are tuition free, serve economically disadvantaged populations and enjoy a 97% high school graduation rate, according to U.S. News.
