One of the murals is of Jesus Ferreira, and can be found on the side of Friendly Mart at 3287 S Polk St. The mural was painted by artist Jeremy Biggers who lives in Oak Cliff.

Although born in Colombia, Ferreira was raised in Dallas and plays for FC Dallas. Biggers says he wanted to create elements significant to both of Ferreira’s homes, so the mural’s background alludes to both the Colombian flag and FC Dallas logo.

The second mural can be found on the side of Lloyd Hall’s Alignment and Brake Service at 938 W Davis St. It depicts Weston McKennie, who grew up in Little Elm, Texas, and played for FC Dallas’ youth league. The mural of McKennie was painted by artist Jeks from Greensboro, N.C.

Both murals were commissioned by Adidas, and Biggers said he was not sure why Oak Cliff was selected as the location for the murals.

So far there has not been a sighting of a Kellyn Acosta mural. Acosta is the third player for the men’s national soccer team with a Dallas tie. Born in Plano, Texas, Acosta’s professional career started with FC Dallas.

The national team will have their first round FIFA world cup appearance on Nov. 21 against Wales.
