A new report states that homes in the ZIP code 75208 have experienced the highest 10-year price increases of any homes in Dallas.
The ZIP code includes Kessler Park, Bishop Arts and Winnetka Heights. According to data from Zillow, in 2012, homes in the area were valued at a median $121,658. This year, the median price was over $450,000.
As neighbors across the city debate about affordable housing, Dallas is facing a steeper home price increase than all but two cities in America. Our city has reported a year-over-year home price increase of 30.8%, while the average among 20 other large cities is 20.5%. Tampa and Miami were the only two cities with a higher acceleration in home prices.
Data from Zillow released in July shows an acceleration in house prices in every Oak Cliff ZIP code. Compared to last year, 75208 actually had the lowest increase at 21.1%. In 75211, prices have increased by 25.4%. In 75203, prices have increased by 28.3%. In 75224, prices have gone up 26.1%. ZIP code 75323 had the highest rate of acceleration at 31.4%.
