After closing shop in October 2022, the return comes with a few new additions to the existing brunch, lunch, dinner, and late-night menus and features an industrial but contemporary-design style, retaining the original, antique uniqueness.

The indoor-outdoor courtyard will be joined with a spacious, dog-friendly site and live music. Owners Andrew Popp and Feliza Macias intend to make the venue as comfortable as possible year-round, installing a high-end mister system and multiple fire pits as well as controlled temperatures to cater to any and all preferences.

Inside, the dining and bar service will be available in two different locations for easy accessibility.

Popp’s step-father, Jim Hughes, and mother, Cindy Hughes, owned Bread Winners Holdings, which included the original Henry’s Majestic. Henry’s Majestic came to be after Hughes found a “majestic” sign at an antique store and named the restaurant after one of their favorite family dogs, Henry.

After Hughes’ retirement, Popp took Henry’s Majestic under his wing and has many ideas for the new location.

Alex Fletcher, the original bartender who created the first drink menu for the restaurant, has his own ideas as well.

“I am attempting a zero-waste cocktail program with this new iteration, a sustainable wine list and a back bar that focuses on sustainable brands,” Fletcher said.

Of course, the bar will hold nostalgia with its old-house favorite cocktails, but there will also be modernized, creative ones for those looking to try something new.

Popp and Macias also know there will be demand for a new menu item now that their demographic has extended to customer’s dogs. Luckily, ‘pup-tails’ will be available to order at the new location.

The new location will be 2303 Pittman St., Dallas. It is expected to reopen in Fall 2023.
