Dallas City Council members Chad West, Paul Ridley and Jesse Moreno will host Zoo Day 2023 on Dec. 2 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Free tickets are available through this link.

While tickets will still show regular prices when selecting dates and times, the Dallas resident discount will be applied at checkout. Parking at the zoo costs $12 per vehicle.

There is not a limit on the number of tickets that can be reserved per party for the Zoo Day.

2023 has been a year of new additions at the zoo. Flamingos, tamarin monkeys, lemurs, a warthog and an African elephant are among the baby animals that were born at the Dallas Zoo this year.

Saturday’s Zoo Day will be full of “fun, beauty and wonder,” the city council members said.

In recent zoo news, the Dallas Zoo announced this week that for the first time in its 135-year history, a woman has been named CEO.

“It is a great honor and responsibility to be entrusted with the legacy that is Dallas Zoo,” Lisa New, who will begin CEO duties in January 2024, said in a statement.
