Wow Wow Hawaiian Lemonade Stand will close their only Dallas location at 320 W. 8th St on Dec. 23, citing difficulties with the economy.

“With the change of the season and rising costs we have tried to make it work as much as we can, but in the end we have to make the right decision for our family and at this point it is closing our doors for now,” the lemonade spot told CultureMap.

It’s a similar refrain other business owners who have recently closed stores have shared. Last week, Peaberry Coffee announced the closure of their Elmwood store after only five months in business. Owner Elijah Salazar described the conditions of the economy as “so rough,” making it difficult for the store to succeed.

In addition to gourmet lemonade, the stand sold acai bowls, superfood smoothies and “healthy bites” such as grain bowls and avocado toast.

Wow Wow Lemonade has stores in Hawaii, California, Arizona, Texas and Florida. Other locations in Texas can be found in Katy and Houston, with a Prosper location “opening soon.”
