While Sprouts Farmer’s Market confirmed the 2024 opening of three North Texas stores to WFAA last week, a North Oak Cliff location does not seem to be one of them, despite conflicting reports.

In a November city council meeting, developers for the Sprouts grocery store received $6.3 million in tax increment financing (TIF). City documents filed at the time showed developers intend to break ground by the end of 2024, with construction of all three buildings on the site wrapping up by September 2026.

A city economic development report shows that while the two other buildings may take until 2026 for completion, the Sprouts store has an anticipated opening of Spring 2025.

“Recently, I have received a flood of emails asking when (and if) Sprouts will be opening in North Oak Cliff. Nothing has changed as least as far as I’m aware,” said city council member Chad West in a recent newsletter. “It’s up to the builders to take the project home and get it done, subject to any leases or other obligations involving Elrod’s and other tenants presently on the site.”

Sprouts declined to provide additional timeline information for the project.
