The restaurant was opened by owners Brooks Anderson, Bradley Anderson and chef Nathan Tate in 2012 at 408 N. Bishop Ave. It was regularly recognized as one of the “Best Of” restaurants in the Advocate’s annual competition.

“We have had more fun, made more great memories, made more great friends, and stayed open longer than we could have ever expected when we opened,” the social media post said. “But as they say, all good things must come to an end.”

The restaurant does not have a hard final day yet, but they plan to close sometime in late March or early April. The owners described the restaurant as “one of the great rides of our lives.”

Boulevardier was known for their imaginative French menu, their oyster dishes and their extensive wine list. The Anderson brothers and Tate said they are still continuing with Hillside Tavern, an East Dallas sports bar with “a much better wine list than you might ever expect,” as well as their culinary and wine tours and the Anderson brothers’ law practice.

And another Bishop Arts closure…

The Hometown Bishop Arts Farmers Market, which opened in the former Better Block building at 700 W. Davis just last month, announced the entire store’s merchandise will be 30-50% off to help clear the shelves and prepare for their closure.

“Our owner has experienced some awful health scares amongst her family that now requires her full attention and presence,” an Instagram post reads. “Do not fret, the building will be taken over by amazing people and an amazing local business.”

Details on who is moving in are “coming soon,” the post said.
