Dallas birria taco chain, Birrieria Aguiñaga, has opened in the small building that used to house The Last Stand in Bishop Arts District.

Founded in 2006, the chain has two other locations in North Dallas, one in Grand Prairie and one in Garland. Their fifth location in Bishop Arts opened last Friday, open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., and 10 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

Birrieria Aguiñaga features a macabre $20 “pizza birria” which I would be too scared to try. Their tacos are a reasonable $2.50 though, with 14 meat options to choose from. I tried an al pastor and a chicken tinga, they were both solid. They would probably be a piece of heaven if you were intoxicated though, so try and swing by for a late night bite on Friday or Saturday.
