Community members are invited to a Town Hall meeting with Dallas Police Chief Eddie Garcia, District 1 Councilman Chad West and Dallas College Trustee Diana Flores June 25 at 6 p.m.
The event will be held at the Texas Theatre, 231 Jefferson Blvd. At the Town Hall, residents can discuss concerns, share insights, and collaborate with officials and neighbors. Neighborhood patrol officers and leadership from the Dallas Police Department – Southwest Division will also be present.
Council Member Chad West serves District 1 residents on the Dallas City Council. North Oak Cliff residents first elected West in May 2019 and reelected him in 2021 and most recently in 2023. West has lived in North Oak Cliff for nearly two decades.
Chief Edgardo (Eddie) Garcia is the 30th police chief of the Dallas Police Department, the ninth largest police department in the country, and has 32 years of law enforcement experience. During Chief Garcia’s tenure, he has implemented several policies, procedures, and initiatives helping reduce violent crime, build community trust and increase transparency, while embracing both constitutional policing and police proactivity.
