Myrtle Polk was last seen in the 1100 block of Indian Creek Trail driving a black 2004 Lexus ES 330 with the license plate number BV7K204. She is 5’2″, 120 pounds with white hair and brown eyes. A Silver Alert was issued on June 11 and is ongoing.

Her family says she has memory problems, and are concerned that she is confused and does not know where she is.

Polk, a retired teacher and a very active member of her church, is described as a pillar of her community in south Oak Cliff. Polk’s son, Philip Polk, said he knew something was wrong when she didn’t show up to church at the Exciting Singing Hills Baptist Church on Sunday.

Family and friends gathered last Sunday for a vigil to pray for her safe return.

“We’re still here waiting on her, we still believe we’re going to be reunited,”  Philip told WFAA at the start of the vigil. “And for her to not give up the way we’re not giving up. So, if she hears this that’s the message I’d want her to have. Everyone who’s here loves her and is waiting for her to come home.”

Anyone with information about her is asked to call 911 immediately or the Dallas Police Department at 214-671-4268.
