A man was arrested Wednesday after turning himself in and is facing a murder charge in connection with the Jan. 30 shooting in north Oak Cliff.

Devin Paxton, 32, was booked into the Dallas County jail. A bail had yet to be set and it was unclear whether he had an attorney.

Dallas police were called at about 11:15 p.m. to the 400 block of South Beckley Avenue, near Cumberland Street and found a person who had been shot. The victim, later identified as 27-year-old Bennie Singleton, according to Dallas County medical examiner records, died at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
