Officers responded to an assist officer call at about 10:35 p.m. in the 3100 block of June Drive, according to a statement from Dallas police. A preliminary investigation revealed that a suspect, who was not named, shot two people.

One person died on the scene and the other was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police did not immediately identify the victims.

According to police, the two victims were twin brothers.

Investigators at the scene said the suspect and the brothers knew each other and had ongoing issues.
