Over a week after the Central Texas floods, there are still ways to contribute to flood relief efforts while staying in Oak Cliff. Here’s how to help:
1. Tom Thumb
The Tom Thumb Foundation will make a $10,000 donation to flood victims, the company announced on Instagram. Customers can also choose to donate at checkout at any Tom Thumb location or directly to the Albertsons Companies Foundation through Saturday, July 19.
In Oak Cliff, Tom Thumb is located at 315 South Hampton Road.
2. Whataburger
The beloved Texas-based burger chain is donating $10,000 to local relief organizations, it posted on Instagram. On top of that, Whataburger will donate 100% of the purchase price from its limited-edition Commemorative Cup collection to flood relief efforts through the rest of the month.
In Oak Cliff, Whataburger is located at 1560 North Cockrell Hill Road.
3. James Avery Artisan Jewelry
Through Aug. 4, James Avery is donating 100% of its full-value proceeds from its Deep in the Heart of Texas Charm to help those impacted by the floods, according to the website. The charm is available in sterling silver for $59 or 14-karat yellow gold for $330.
