The team’s run through the playoffs has provided plenty of excitement for the city, and the Finals are sure to bring more hype than ever.

There are plenty of local spots to catch the Mavericks’ series against the Boston Celtics, which starts Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Here are a few recommendations.

PhD – Pour House Dallas 

1300 W Davis St

Pour House Dallas has been Oak Cliff’s local sports bar for over nine years. Owner Eric Tschetter has lived in the area for over 20 years and has taken the rich culture of Oak Cliff and created a place for locals and outsiders alike to hang out with friends, enjoy great food and drinks, and watch the game or enjoy live music.

The bar will be hosting viewing parties for each of the upcoming games.

Oak Cliff Social Club

238 W Davis St

A neighborhood staple, Oak Cliff Social Club will be hosting a watch parties for the NBA Finals. If you’re into live music, DJ Rick Alva will be performing. The party will feature games, prizes, and a Dallas Mavs shot special. Doors open at 3 p.m.

Jaquval

312 W Seventh St

Jaquval is another great spot to catch sporting events in Oak Cliff. The owners of Jaquval are also the owners of Oddfellows, the all-day cafe and wine bar next door, and Revelers Hall. The brew pub offers a range of in-house crafted beers and a menu full of hearty, satisfying dishes.

During the series against the Timberwolves, the pub offered free beers to guests who brought a broom to watch the as the Mavs hoped to sweep the series. This Thursday, $5 beers will be served during the second half of the game. This bar is sure to provide plenty of excitement and a fun atmosphere for sports fans.

Tiny Victories

604 N Tyler St

This bar is only 1,000 square feet but packs a nice punch with drinks created by some of Dallas’ best bartenders

Throughout the Mavericks and Stars’ runs through the playoffs, Tiny Victories has been hosting viewing parties with drink specials. The bar only has 40 seats and a small patio, so get there early to claim a spot.
