The City of Dallas will be conducting mosquito spraying for portions of District 4 after a mosquito sampling came back positive for West Nile virus from the 75216 ZIP code.
The targeted spraying will take place each night Thursday, June 4 and Friday, June 5 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. The general boundaries of the spraying area include East Overton Road to the north, Sun Valley Drive to the west, Kostner Avenue to the east and Five Mile Parkway to the south.
Residents are encouraged to take precautions against mosquito bites by reducing outdoor activities during the evening and nighttime hours. If outside during those times, covering arms and legs with the use of mosquito repellent is advised.
