Bishop Arts Mardi Gras parade: 28 entries and counting

Organizer Amy Cowan says 28 forms have been filled out and submitted, with a few more verbal committments "still hanging out there." As we posted last week, her goal was 20 floats.

It’s not going to be the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade, of course, but for the first go of it, the Bishop Arts District Mardi Gras parade is looking like a huge success already. The parade is this coming Sunday, Feb. 22, at 4 p.m., and will start near Methodist Dallas Medical Center at Colorado and Bishop. It continues down the avenue to the Bishop Arts District and ends there.

Grab your piece of curb early if you want to be in the front row for all of those Mardi Gras throws.
