Happy Labor Day

The blog is mostly off today in honor of the holiday, but we do have something for you to enjoy – video from the Texas International Pop Festival, held 40 years ago on Labor Day weekend in Lewisville. Children, see if you can find your parents grooving out.

The video comes from dcwedu on You Tube. He says he took the film – real, live film – with his Super 8mm camera. Look for Nazz, James Cotton, Canned Heat, Johnny Winters and Janis Joplin.

We’ll be back on Tuesday.
