Restaurant news: Monkey King pop-up, adios tamales, sushi and ramen

Deep Ellum’s Monkey King Noodle Co. hosts a pup-up at Zoli’s NY Pizza from 6-9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 9. On the menu are crispy drumsticks, a Korean sub and duck fried rice. Here is the facebook event invitation.

Didi’s Tamale Diner has closed. The restaurant, which relocated from Mesquite to West Dallas in November, is the first restaurant in Trinity Groves’ concept incubator to close.

The newest restaurant at Trinity Groves, Sushi Bayashi, opens Tuesday, Feb. 10. The restaurant also will serve ramen.

Another restaurant, Sugar Skull Cafe, is inspired by Mexican street food and is expected to open this month in Trinity Groves.
