This weekend: Kessler anniversary, ‘Fargo,’ free live music

The Kessler Theater celebrates its fifth anniversary Friday, March 21, with Marshall Crenshaw and “Tommy: A Bluegrass Opera,” presented by the Hillbenders.

The Texas Theatre is showing “Fargo” and “My Own Private Idaho,” plus “Metalhead.” On Saturday, the Dallas Neoclassical Ballet performs in advance of a screening of “The Red Shoes.”

Sol Cat performs a free show at the Foundry Friday. Sally Majestic performs Saturday.

On Saturday, there is a reenactment of the historic march from Selma to Montgomery, Ala. on the Continental Avenue bridge.
