Here are a few places to get your morning sugar rush in Oak Cliff.

1. Lone Star Donut — Obviously. This iconic business offers some of the best donuts in Dallas out of its factory store on Beckley, along with coffee cakes and “Baby Cakes,” those addictive little powdered sugar donuts.

2. Oak Cliff Doughnuts — Forget Krispy Kreme. Have a simple glazed donut off the cooling rack from Oak Cliff Doughnuts. Or three or four.

3. Southern Maid Donuts — The main draw at Southern Maid Donuts, which has locations on West Davis and in Wynnewood Village, is that it has a drive-through. And tasty, tasty donuts.

4. Vera’s — Vera’s Bakery won best dessert among Advocate readers, but they also have chocolate donuts and outstanding churros.

5. Bolsa Mercado — So you can’t get these on National Donut Day, but every Saturday morning, Bolsa Mercado gets a deliver of donuts from the amazing Hypnotic Donuts in East Dallas.
