The city’s goal is for Oak Cliff residents to be able to access the Trinity River levee trails via the Coombs Creek Trail, but as noted in March’s cover story, no plans are yet on the books to make this happen. By looking at this map, however, you can see where the proposed connection to the Coombs Creek Trail would be, just south of Commerce Street.

The trails within the levees are the brown lines on the map, and as landscape architect Ignacio Bunster said in the story, the trails cross the river several times. The first round of plans for the levee trails will be submitted to the U.S. Corps of Engineers sometime in March.
