Norma’s expects to dish out 3,500 turkey dinners this year

No one goes hungry at Norma’s Cafe, and on Thanksgiving, folks get stuffed for free. The favorite neighborhood joint dishes up soul food every day, and they’ve been giving away Thanksgiving meals for over 20 years. The cafe expects to serve 3,500 meals this year.

The meal, which is served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., includes turkey and dressing with gravy, mashed potatoes, peas, salad and dessert. Norma’s serves people at the cafe, and they offer food in bulk for churches and shelters to pick up. For more information, contact
