‘Dallas’ to film in Bishop Arts Thursday morning

What do you think of these yarn-bombed trees in the Bishop Arts District? They are the work of K Witta, the infamous yarn bomber of Lakewood, aka, Sally Ackerman, who is an Advocate advertising rep known for her yarn designs and her family band, The Ackermans.

She wrapped one tree, in front of Artisan’s Collective, in November. When producers of the new “Dallas” TV show chose Bishop Arts as a shooting location recently, they asked Ackerman to wrap more trees on Bishop.

She spent this whole past weekend covering four more trees.

“I had the best time over there. I bet 200 people stopped to talk to me,” she says.

“Dallas” is expected to shoot in the B.A.D. from 7-11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 19.
