This weekend: reading is fun, block party, Marcia Ball, John Wayne

the_searchers_movie_posterThe Read-Rite Market is an all-day celebration of the written word at Oil and Cotton Saturday, July 20, from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.

The Oak Cliff Cultural Center is shutting down the 300 block of Jefferson Saturday night for a block party and showcase of summer camp talent. The Rhythm of Urban Life Feel Good Festival starts at 6:15 p.m. with live performances and music. Make it a dinner date as food trucks will be parked on the street.

The Kessler Theater has Marcia Ball Friday night.
