The suspect, 51-year-old Charles Hunt of Lancaster, is accused of targeting women returning home from work. In at least one case, a female accomplice attacked a robbery victim, grabbing the victim’s 5-year-old child and hitting the woman over the head with a gun.

Hunt and his accused accomplice, 21-year-old Santana Andrews, are being charged with aggravated robbery. Dallas Police think the couple could be responsible for all 24 driveway robberies, which have taken place in East Dallas and Oak Cliff starting in January.

Hunt and Andrews were arrested last week after police pulled them over on West Davis because they matched the description of the robbers and their vehicle.

WFAA reports that the two confessed to robberies and they may have photographed and videotaped themselves during the crimes.

Hunt was convicted in 1991 of raping a 27-year-old woman, and he has aggravated robbery convictions from the ’90s as well.
