Restaurateur Victor Hugo this week opens a new restaurant, VH, at 1115 N. Beckley.
The restaurant takes the space formerly occupied by two incarnations of Outpost American Tavern and prior to that, Campo.
The menu includes sweet potato Johnny cakes with blue crab, mango and sweet corn relish; duck and goat cheese taquitos with avacado crema; and bacon-wrapped pork tenderloin. Entrees cost $15-$24.
Hugo is from California and has lived in Dallas since 2008. He previously worked as manager of Al Bernait’s and general manager of Bistro 31.
VH opens Wednesday and is open for lunch, happy hour and dinner Tuesday-Sunday.
