Luck celebrates its one-year anniversary from 4-10 Thursday, Oct. 23. They’ll be tapping special kegs from Lakewood Brewing Co., Rabit Hole Brewing, Armadillo Ale Works, Martin House Brewing Co. and Peticolas Brewing Co.

House of MacGregor hosts its fall hat party from 7-9 p.m. Thursday and check out Cassie MacGregor’s fall designs. Bolsa will serve $5 old fashioned cocktails to anyone sitting at the bar in a hat.

The Oak Cliff Society for Fine Arts hosts a movie on the lawn at Turner House starting at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24. The movie is “The Ghost and Mr. Chicken” starring Don Knotts. And a costume contest for kids starts at 7:30 p.m. The event and popcorn are free. No pets, please.

Holy Ghost Tent Revival performs a free show at the Foundry Friday.

“Bride of Frankenstein” shows at the Texas Theatre Friday.

The North Oak Cliff Music Festival is Saturday, Oct. 25 at Lake Cliff Park. Bring the whole family for just $50.

“Barks and Brews” is a fundraiser for Animal Rescue of Texas from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Ten Bells Tavern. Tickets cost $5 and can be redeemed for a pint of beer. Bring well-behaved pets (and even children) in costume.
