A man kidnapped and sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl on her way home from school last week.
The girl told police she exited her school bus in the 500 block of East Eighth Street around 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10. A man wearing a ski mask grabbed her and forced her to walk three blocks to Lake Cliff Park, where he assaulted her. The man fled after hearing people approach.
The girl described her attacker as black, 18-20 years old, 6 feet tall, 250 pounds and wearing black sweat pants, a black hoodie and a black ski mask. She said he had blue eyes and might have been wearing colored contact lenses.
A woman fought off an attempted rapist in Lake Cliff Park in September 2013, around 7 a.m., and another woman was raped in nearby Founders Park in January 2013, also around 7 a.m. No one has been arrested in those cases.
